Welcome back, Sam!

Sam Frawley, a beloved team member from the very first days of Parachute Media, has come back to join the Paratroopers as a Creative Producer. In our days of working with Sam, he has always been the one to bring a little extra spice to any shoot, set, or mere idea. Literally…he’s the type of person that puts hot sauce on everything. (He’s team Green Jalapeño Tobasco for those asking).

Here are a few examples of his most notable work below.

We asked Sam the following six questions to help grasp just how cool he is!

Who is one of your professional heroes and why?

Such a tough choice to just name one. I follow so many amazing photographers and creators on Instagram that inspire me on a daily basis but Joe Greer is the first name that came to mind. I’ve been following him since the beginning of my own photography journey and his work has always felt both current and timeless. His work will live on outside the Instagram bubble. I always look forward to seeing what he will create next.

Do you have a personal mission statement?

“Guard your time fiercely. Be generous with it, but be intentional about it.” – David Duchemin

What is your grand, audacious goal?

To own a fleet of classic cars.

When you’re not at work where will we find you and what will you be doing?

When I’m not working, you can either find me in the kitchen cooking up a delicious meal or on the trails of Shelby Bottoms riding my bike.

What sparked your interest in working in the creative space?

I decided to pursue design after reading Daniel Pink’s “A Whole New Mind.” The book talked about the way that creative thinking and design will rule the 21st-century economy. It had a huge impact on me, so I decided to change my college major from business to art.

I first got into photography when I started a street style blog in college. My friend Michael and I would walk up to well-dressed people on the streets of Nashville and ask to photograph them. I’ve always had an interest in street style and fashion trends and it was a fun way to document Nashville’s unique sartorial scene. The blog isn’t active anymore, but I still love photography and shoot as much as I can.

Jordan Peterson. I love his insights and advice on how to make the most of your life. He’s a really inspiring modern philosopher and a much-needed voice for our generation.
