With a passion for digital marketing and a continued desire to grow and expand her skill sets, Missy Setter has already been a huge asset to the Parachute Media team as an Account Coordinator.
Having recently moved from Minnesota, Missy may be new to Nashville, but she’s not new to digital marketing. She loves coming up with contemporary creative ideas that really get the client excited, and she’s always on the lookout for new ways that technology can help expand the client’s goals.
When she’s not at the office, you’ll find Missy relaxing on the couch with her cat Lulu, wine in hand. She also enjoys exploring Nashville and trying all the great, local eateries and ice cream shops.
Who is one of your professional heroes and why?
There are so many professional heroes out there, but the first to come to mind is my grandpa. He started working at such a young age and persevered like no other to make his dreams a reality. No one believed he could run his own business… until he did and it was, and still is, one of the most successfully-growing companies in Moorhead, MN (my hometown). Ultimately, my gramps motivated me to get into business and continuously push myself to reach my goals.
What is something quirky about you?
I’m an ice cream connoisseur, I dance when I eat (especially when I’m hangry), my cat is my life, and I have 6 nephews and 2 nieces who I love dearly.
What sparked your interest in digital marketing?
After completing an internship with a non-profit organization as a social media marketing intern, I became extremely passionate about digital marketing and knew this was the path I wanted to take. With technology constantly evolving and seeing what it can do for a business motivated me to continue to learn more and expand my marketing skills. I also love how rewarding this industry can be, not only for myself but for other businesses and partnerships involved. There’s just something about seeing people succeed that just makes me smile and feel good!
What is your grand, audacious goal?
To keep pushing myself to be the best person I can be and live life to the fullest with no regrets. And also travel, eat lots of food, raise a family, and adopt more cats along the way.
