CMA Fest

Kristin is dusting off her boots and braving the crowds to attend one of Nashville’s biggest events of the year, CMA Fest. “I’m so excited to be going this year because I have never been! I love country music, which is one of the reasons I was so excited to move to Nashville last year. Most of the day time concerts and shows for CMA fest are free, which is great for my budget and love of music,“ Kristin said, when asked why she couldn’t wait for this year’s big event.

This year, CMA Fest is taking place June 6th-9th. With over 10 stages, artists perform all throughout the day. Kristin is taking Friday off, tapping into her 28 days of PTO from Parachute, to make sure she doesn’t miss a beat. Whether you’re looking to discover the next big country music star or can’t wait to hear your favorite artist perform, be on the lookout for Kristin at CMA Fest this year.

Tailgates and Backyard Excursions

Lauren, Adam, and their little floof, Rooster the Dog will be spending this summer in the backyard of their new home! For more details about this exciting event, Lauren graciously provided the website, noneofyourbusiness.com. Between painting, working in the yard, and unboxing, their new home is sure to keep them busy, but Lauren is also looking forward to Yazoo Brewery breaking ground at their newest location in Madison, TN.

Yazoo will start on their newest site along 6 acres of the Cumberland River this summer. Our Parachute office fridge is already stocked with Yazoo, but we’re counting down the days until we can cheers along the river. Until then, you can catch Lauren grabbing a cold one at Yazoo’s Division Street location.

Bonnaroo

For the 5th year in a row, Rachel will be heading to Bonnaroo Music  and Arts Festival.  At just an hour outside of Nashville, Bonnaroo is a local’s favorite. But what keeps Rachel going back year after year? “I love hitting up music festivals with my festie fam, and going to this one is a given since it’s in Nashville’s backyard. There’s a ton of amazing shows this year. I’m most excited to see Phish- that’s a band I’ve always wanted to see live. And I can’t forget about Childish Gambino and The Avett Brothers,” Rachel commented.

Pack your tents, get your festival outfits ready, and make your playlists now; Rachel can’t wait to see you at the farm June 13-16th!

Summer Movies

Shelby is hoping to catch a movie at one of TailGate Brewery’s Summer Movie Series.  With titles like Jumanji, Emperor’s New Groove, and School of Rock, these classics are sure to please viewers of all ages. Even if you’re not a movie buff, who can turn down some of the best pizza in town and a cold beer? Bring your furry friend because these outside events are dog friendly.

If you can’t find her at TailGate, head to Nashville’s Pride Festival June 22nd-23rd. Shelby will be supporting Nashville’s LGBTQ+ community as they honor the 50th anniversary of Stonewall.
